Dave and Jordan: Legit Cooking For Students

Students eat terribly – and for no good reason. Sick of their friends eating bags of chips for dinner, Dave and Jordan have decided to do something about it. The first step of their detailed, charted, calibrated and calculated plan is a laid back/informative blog about food and culinary ideas. The second is the launch of a web-aired guerilla student cooking show in the vein of Wayne’s World meets The View… only with food. Here, they’ll charmingly educate out of their own kitchen and in other’s kitchens at universities nationwide. The third is getting laid, a lot (kidding).

Dave is far too Italian for his own good. Growing up in the hills of Guelph, Ontario, this young buck got his start cooking as a child working at the side of his mother and father. Upon moving out and growing up, Dave honed his skills further to become a hell of a chef – with specialization in, uh, Italian cuisine.

Jordan can’t follow recipes to save his life. Thriving on unorthodox and random ideas since childhood, Jordan has since grown to become a well-rounded chef with a deep love for foods. He is currently employed with Dish Catering, one of Ottawa’s most infamous
culinary establishments, specializing in innovative and fresh food ideas.

Well before the guys moved in together in Spring 08, they had long collaborated food ideas. They’re 21-year old university students with an open-door bathroom policy, an apartment chalk full of character, and a kitchen that’s just straight-up legit.

They’re also the nicest dudes, ever.
